Waiting on Wednesday #3

img-thing-pink2Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

I was so totally going to post a Top Ten Tuesday yesterday, but time got away from me. I’ve been busy with an international scavenger hunt called GISHWHES and until it ends– this Saturday– I’m afraid I’ll be a bit preoccupied causing chaos and staying up late creating outfits from food, tweeting like I’m Orlando Jones, and emailing famous people.

Anywho, I’m super excited to share my WoW pick this week.

Long ago, dragons were hunted to near extinction by the Order of St. George, a legendary society of dragonslayers. Hiding in human form and growing their numbers in secret, the dragons of Talon have become strong and cunning, and they’re positioned to take over the world with humans none the wiser.

Ember and Dante Hill are the only sister and brother known to dragonkind. Trained to infiltrate society, Ember wants to live the teen experience and enjoy a summer of freedom before taking her destined place in Talon. But destiny is a matter of perspective, and a rogue dragon will soon challenge everything Ember has been taught. As Ember struggles to accept her future, she and her brother are hunted by the Order of St. George.

Soldier Garret Xavier Sebastian has a mission to seek and destroy all dragons, and Talon’s newest recruits in particular. But he cannot kill unless he is certain he has found his prey — and nothing is certain about Ember Hill. Faced with Ember’s bravery, confidence and all-too-human desires, Garret begins to question everything that the Order has ingrained in him — and what he might be willing to give up to find the truth about dragons.

To be completely honest, Julie Kagawa could write a phonebook and I’d probably buy it and enjoy the whole darn thing. I LOVE HER BOOKS. Sure, I’m not usually a huge dragon fan, but I don’t even care. Her writing is always enjoyable and fun and her characters are always dynamic and memorable.

Sign me up and take all of my money, Kagawa. I’m ready for this one.

    1. Doesn’t it? I hope I can get one too! I already have way too many books in my TBR pile, so maybe it’d be better if I just waited for it to come out… 🙂
As for your WoW, I recently heard of Crown of Ice by Vicki L. Weavil! It looks like a wonderful WoW pick! I’ll definitely be adding it to my TBR.
