Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Authors I Own The Most Books From

toptentuesTop Ten Tuesday is a lovely original feature/weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This is my first week doing this thing called “Top Ten Tuesday” and I’m so excited to participate in it! 🙂 I’ve actually never considered the authors whom I own the most books from so this should be fun. These are in no particular order!

#1: Julie KagawaIron-Fey-series

At the very beginning of this year, I went on Amazon and bought nearly all of the Iron Fey books for really cheap. Yes, it’s another example of my book hoarding, but this series is so good! I want to keep re-reading these…

#2: John Green

John-Greens-Books

I only have The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska in my library (and I haven’t even read the latter–I’m a terrible JG fan, I admit), but Green is a great author. My favorite of his is Paper Towns and I still need to add that one to my library. SO excited that it’s going to be made into a movie!

#3: Suzanne Collins

hg-series

I have to say, I was a huge (and I do mean HUGE) fan of her Gregor the Overlander series before HG had even been released. I grew up on those books and cried like a baby when I finished them. When I read HG years later and found out both were penned by the same author, I was shocked! Such different stories… but both respectable in their own right.

#4: Libba Bray

In high school, I devoured this trilogy. This past year I finally bought them all! Still need to re-read them… but, I don’t know if I can deal with Kartik again. 😦 And, come on, these covers are GORGEOUS.

#5: Trenton Lee Stewart

These are some of my childhood classics… I love the characters in this series and the fun, delightful mysteries surrounding the Benedict Society.

#6: Sarah Dessen

There are times in my life when I need to read some fluffy chick lit and those are the times when I pull out my Sarah Dessen books. Predictable and cheesy at times? Sure. Satisfying? Completely.

#7: Carrie Ryan

carrie-ryan

I’ll be honest: I bought these books to re-read, but also to shove in my friends’ faces so they can experience Carrie Ryan’s world full of creepy, frightening Unconsecrated. Ugh, I’m getting goosebumps right now just typing about this series.

#8: Cornelia Funke

Inkworld

Maybe this is a bit of a throwback, but Inkheart was my JAM back in middle school. All the cool kids were reading this series (and I was such a cool kid). Sure, the movie was a bit of a disappointment, but everyone knows that the book is always better, anyways. On another note, I still don’t know how to pronounce this author’s name. Does anyone? These are the questions that keep me up all night.

~*~*~*~*~

Okay, so I only made it to 8! I could have added Stephanie Meyer and made it 9, but, considering that this blog is linked to all of my public profiles, I think I’ll stick to 8… No judgement here, right? It was eighth grade, come on. Everyone loved Edward in 2008… No shame.

Who are a few authors whose books line your bookshelves? Any recommendations?

  1. I know what you mean about Edward. We have all been there. The best we can do now is pretend it never happened. I would definitely recommend Cassandra Clare, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Katie McGarry, and Rachel Hawkins. These are a select few authors who are all front and center on my shelves and they’re all amazing.

    1. Haha exactly! Thank you for the recommendations! I’ve just bought some books from Jennifer L. Armentrout and I LOVE Cassandra Clare. Can’t wait to check out the others. 🙂

      1. Jennifer is an AMAZING author. The Lux series is my definite favorite by her.

      2. You will get hooked. I’ve read them so many times. It’s so rare to find an alien series, much less ones that are good.
